Ranger - valkyrie core is ofc a thing but there are atleast 2 good tier builds - trapper core and power longbow core. Thief condi core and SD are both viable builds. Mesmer he has atleast 2 viable pvp builds for core. Warrior- core axe is pretty ok and rather simple to play.

Guardian is arguably the best profession due to how many roles and viable builds it has but is not as beginner friendly. It has a lot of defensive abilities but low health so it can be rough if you slip up. Still, it's more newbie friendly than most of the roster. All that said, it's not really worth switching out of necro if you're new.
