While slash does ignore armor's damage resistance, it still does 15-50% less damage to ferrite and alloy armor, meaning you're still better off stripping armor. And to top all that off, you're shooting yourself in the foot in anything other than solo play, where one person with a 100% strip completely mitigates all that bonus damage you worked so hard for.

With the latest update armor stripping now stacks. So before a 50% armor strip would have taken 10+ casts to fully strip armor, but now 2 casts of that same 50% fully strips armor. This opens up a lot of possibilities. I made a chart for reference as well with the armor stripping abilties that don't have frame specific interactions:
