I dropped out the magazine, racked the slide back to show an empty chamber and to lock the slide back, then swung the take down lever to 6 o clock.The lever will pop right into the grip or FCU and turn easily but when the grip and FCU are combined I get more resistance on the takedown lever than I would expect. It's hard for me to say because this is my first p320. Mine's new and super hard too. So I checked my P320 and with a magazine in it, I can only spin the takedown lever about that far and with pressure it can get stuck. But if thats not your issue, and its cleared of mag, release the slide back to normal, hand rack it a bunch of times, lock the slide back and see if your gas pedal can go fully down.
